How far apart should I plant Leighton Green? For a screening hedge, 1.5-3m apart is ideal. Avoid overcrowding to allow for growth and an overall healthy plant.
Do I need to prune Leighton Greens? Most people select these cypress plants for its mature size, however if you wish to keep it clipped to a smaller size, a prune in late summer can keep them to more compact size.
Can I plant Leighton Green if I have clay soil? Yes you can! Try and dig up the soil as much as possible and add a product such as Gypsum to break up the clay. Try and build up the soil if possible so that water doesn’t well at the base of the plant.
