Commonly Asked Questions

How do I look after my Tired Cordon? Cordons will continue to grow beyond their current arms. You can extend the arms with additional supports or continue the growth with guidewires. You can also prune your plant so it remains smaller, depending on the look you are after and your garden size. Because of their compact growth habit, cordons are ideal for narrow garden beds or for growing along fence / house lines.

How do I get my Apple or Pear Cordon to produce delicious fruit? Young fruit trees need regular water while establishing, but good drainage is essential. As they mature, water needs lessen. Stone fruit prefer full sun, and apples dislike wet roots, so choose your spot wisely. Mulch helps retain moisture, and a gentle, suitable fertiliser keeps plants healthy. Regular pruning encourages better fruiting. For apples and pears, plant two different varieties nearby to help bees cross-pollinate and boost your crop.

How Does Delivery Work?

Orders are usually delivered within a couple of days after orders are received, with busy days or peak seasons (e.g Spring), sometimes taking a few additional days for delivery.

Once your order is ready for shipment we will contact you prior to advise on your estimated delivery day and time.

On your delivery day our driver will call you half an hour prior to delivery.

For most deliveries, the plants will be placed in the front garden in a safe and secure location. For advanced-size plants, we will arrange for curb-side delivery.

Please note that unfortunately drivers will not enter into apartment buildings. For additional delivery information please contact us on orders@impressiveplants.com

Can I See The Plants In Person?

Our plants cannot be viewed in person, as we minimise our costs by not having a physical retail shop.

That’s how Impressive Plants offers the highest quality, mature plants, at great prices.

How Much Does Delivery Cost?

We offer reliable delivery services with a standard charge of $77 for Metro Melbourne.

For advanced plants in 100L pot sizes, delivery is $149.

Trade projects, regional, and interstate deliveries are individually quoted, and we’re happy to provide a custom price based on your specific requirements.

Can I Place An Order If I Am Located Regionally Or Interstate?

Yes you can.

We are also able to arrange deliveries to NSW and South Australia.

Your delivery will arrive via a professional plant transportation company.

Please note if you are ordering plants outside Victoria, first check with your states horticultural guidelines as not all plants are able to be supplied interstate.

Your plants will arrive with one of our partnered interstate delivery companies. Impressive Plants does not place any mark up on Interstate orders, the price is purely cost only. Prices for interstate orders start from $250.

How Long Will It Take For My Order To Arrive?

Generally orders are delivered within a few days. We will inform you which day your plants will arrive.

The day prior to your delivery we will let you know an approximate time of delivery.

On the day, the driver will call you half an hour prior to delivery.

How Will My Plants Be Delivered?

Please note that due to insurance purposes our drivers unfortunately can not enter into apartment buildings.

Will My Plants Arrive In One Delivery?

We do our best to ensure most orders arrive together in one delivery. However, if you’ve ordered a specialty item such as a Japanese Maple, it may be sent separately from one of our trusted specialty growers. This allows us to source the finest plants from the best growers for you. If your order is arriving in separate deliveries, our team will be in touch to let you know.

How Do I Pay For My Order?

You can purchase directly online via checkout. Payment methods include credit card and Pay Pal. If your order is a custom order (Trade, Regional or Interstate) you will receive an invoice which can be paid via transfer or Pay Pal.

Will My Plants Look Like The Photos?

Yes, our photos are regularly updated to reflect the current availability of plants, their heights, sizes, and prices. If you require additional photos or confirmation of plant heights, we are always available to provide you with the information you need to make a confident purchase.

Please understand if your are purchasing a deciduous plant, the photos will show plants with their foliage.
