Description

Tolley Upright olives are ideal for creating a dreamy Mediterranean garden, without the hassle of fruit. Ideal for areas with porous paving or courtyards where you don’t want any fruit dropping. These are a fruitless / low fruiting option that may be just what you are looking for. Growing to a mature height of 7 meters, they create wonderful screening and provide a textured background to your landscape. Although suitable to a semi-shade location, when planted in full sun, they really start to thrive with layers of fresh new foliage. Ideal for creating evergreen screening, avenue planting and espaliers.

Commonly Asked Questions

Will Tolley Upright olives produce fruit?

These particular olives are a fruitless / low fruiting olive. Ideal for customers wanting the look of olive foliage, minus the fruit.

Can Olives be planted in a shady area?

Olives can cope with semi shade, however you may find they grow a little slower than they would if they were in a full sun location.

Can you keep Olives inside?

Although olives are an outdoor plant, yes you can, however there are a few things to consider. Olives will grow slower in a pot, inside the home. Try and position your olive near a window to maximize sun. Keep a close eye on the overall health of your olive as they will be more prone to disease and poor health indoor. Rotate your pot every few months to encourage even growth over the plant. Also keep an eye on the moisture levels as potted plants will dry out more quickly than if they were planted in the ground.
